When getting ready for a big night out or a sparkling Christmas dinner, there are a few top tips you should remember to ensure the event goes with a bang!
For the same reason you wouldn’t get your eyebrows waxed the day of an event, exfoliate your face three to four days before, always using a mild product. This allows the skin to calm down from any irritation and redness that may have occurred. Never try a new product on the day either – experiment beforehand, or use tried and tested skincare products that you know won’t react badly on your skin.
If you’ve been out late partying, pop your eye cream in the fridge before you go to bed. When you apply it the following morning it will be cold and refreshing and work brilliantly to reduce puffy eyes. This is a great tip for everyday use – a metal spoon that’s been chilled in the fridge can also do wonders.
Post-party, avoid coffee first thing in the morning. You may think you need it to get through the day but all it will do is dehydrate your skin and body even further. Opt for something such as green tea, which will detoxify your body and is great for your skin too.
